The Peter Chastney Theme Trophy competition is held annually and is a stand-alone competition.

This competition is for five separate prints of any size (that fit) individually mounted on the surface of a 50cm by 40cm board, on a theme chosen by the competitor. All presentation must be the work of the author and window mounts are not allowed. A title for the theme is optional.

N.B. Any entry not following these rules will be disqualified

The entries will be marked by those present who would like to take part. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by a vote.

Points will be awarded as follows:-

Unity of theme

How well the prints relate to the theme.

Maximum 3 Points

Presentation

The appearance of the board as a whole.

Maximum 4 Points

Technical merit

Exposure, sharpness, focus, depth of field choice etc

Maximum 2 Points

Bonus point

To be awarded to your favourite theme.

1 Point

Total possible score

10 Points

If you are going to enter please advise Janet Hosford by the Monday before the competition takes place to enable score sheets to be prepared.

Please bring your entry on the night. Prints will be identified by a letter which will be allocated on the night on a first come basis.
